We often get asked - "what is the recommendation after surgery.....how many... how often....?" Every doctor has their own ideas on what's best. We always recommend you check with your doctor first. From our experience, on average, we recommend 3 times a week in the first few weeks and then tapering down as you recover. Three months of treatment is average, although many people continue the lymphatic care a bit longer to help with the ongoing discomfort from swelling and inflammation. Post-surgery swelling can continue for a year post-op. Frequency is the key to keeping the lymphatic system processing the fluid, easing the discomfort, and improving your results.
